Our story

When our co-founder Prisca bought and renovated her first home, she was out of budget for high-quality furniture that could last and wouldn’t harm the planet. After moving five times in five years, she also didn’t how her life would evolve. How many kids she’d have, whether she’d change jobs … who knows where life can take you? So instead of opting for cheap, disposable items, she partnered with Stefan and the Ethnicraft brand to build a new model that would fight fast furniture: a subscription service for high-quality furniture and home accessories that fits within the circular economy. In June 2020, the Live Light brand and company were launched in the Benelux.

With Live Light, we want to offer a more sustainable and flexible approach to interior design. One in which we have full control of our products' life cycle. One in which we minimize the pressure on natural resources by maximizing product lifespans. One in which we are offering affordable design options to those who want it, whenever they need it.

Our service

Consumers & professionals can rent our furniture & accessories for a minimum period of 1 to 48 months. The longer the subscription period, the lower the monthly fee.

We have dedicated, in-house customer service and delivery teams that will be happy to assist you at any step of your Live Light subscription. Our white-glove delivery experience includes delivery and installation in as soon as 7 days. Don’t hesitate to ask us for advice on interior design, too!

Here’s how it works:

On our website, choose your products and select your minimum subscription period. You will pay the delivery fee and the first month of your subscription upfront.

​ 2. Stress-free delivery in as soon as 7 days

Sit back and relax while we deliver, assemble, and arrange your furniture as you need. You’ll then be debited every month via direct debit or credit card.

​ 3. Swap, add or return

When you want to swap, add or return the furniture, just let us know.

​ 4. Free pick-up once you decide to end your subscription.

The furniture will be quality checked, cleaned and refurbished by a team of professionals in our workshop before being rented out again to the next Live Light member.

Our philosophy

Live Light wants to close the loop towards a more sustainable and circular economy. This means our furniture and accessories will be (re)used and (re)loved repeatedly, refurbished when needed, and ultimately recycled into new designs. For this reason, we select products with thoughtful, timeless designs, made of high-quality materials, that can last for generations.

All quality checks, cleaning and repairs are done in our local workshop by our team of skilled artisans. We take the utmost care to ensure that you receive your items sparkling clean, fresh and as good as new.

Say goodbye to fast furniture. Each year, Europeans throw out more than 10 million tons of furniture and furnishings, according to the European Environmental Bureau. Only a small percentage is recycled, thanks to the diversity of materials in most items - upholstered furniture and mattresses, for example, are particularly hard to clean and reprocess.
